Winnipeg (Manitoba) August 20, 2024 – Another week of exciting announcement is on the horizon for Winnipeg Comiccon! From the universe of STAR WARS, Scottish actor DENIS LAWSON* (original Star Wars trilogy, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Bleak House, New Tricks); actress and stunt performer DIANA LEE INOSANTO (Ahsoka, Star Wars: Tales of the Empire, Rent, stunt performer on Buffy the Vampire Slayer); as well as the ultra-talented actor ALAN TUDYK, who is best known for his roles as Hoban “Wash” Washburne in the space western television series Firefly and movie Serenity (2005), the sarcastic reprogrammed imperial security droid, K-2SO, in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016), and the main role of Dr. Harry Vanderspeigle in the Syfy series Resident Alien, are added to the guest list. All three actors will be present to meet fans, take pictures, and will appear on-stage for a 45-minute conversation.
*Fun fact: Denis Lawson played Wedge Antilles in the original Star Wars trilogy, a role he reprised in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. He is also Ewan McGregor’s uncle, who is best known for playing Obi-Wan Kenobi in the prequel trilogy.
