Winnipeg Comiccon announces star-studded guest list for its second edition!

Winnipeg, July 27, 2022 – After welcoming over 14,000 visitors to the inaugural edition of Winnipeg Comiccon in 2021, the event returns to the RBC Convention Centre from October 28 to October 30, 2022!

Winnipeg Comiccon brings together fans of comic books, video games, movies, TV, anime, and fantasy fiction. There will be something for every collector among the vast array of booths and exhibitors from all over the province. Art aficionados can visit Artist Alley and meet some of the most impressive comic book creators from across Canada. They can see illustrators at work, chat with them, and even buy pieces of their fabulous work. Also on the menu: a family zone, panels, workshops, special guests, and much more!

It’s safe to say one of the most exciting parts of the event are the celebrity encounters and this year’s guests are sure to excite attendees! The 2022 edition will be packed with stars including John Barrowman (Doctor Who, Torchwood, the Arrowverse), Lou Ferrigno (The Incredible Hulk), Dave Foley (Kids in the Hall), Matthew Lewis (Harry Potter) and Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead). Stay tuned for even more special guest announcements!

The event will also focus on families, with tons of activities for younger children with free admission for kids 12 and under! All visitors, especially the youngest ones, are invited to dress up as their favourite superhero or character, just for fun (don’t forget it’s the weekend right before Halloween!!) or to participate in the famous Saturday Masquerade, featuring the best cosplays in town. You’ll also want to check out the cosplay fan groups in the exhibition hall including UnderworldLARP Misthaven, Winnipeg Ghostbusters, and 501st Renegade Squad.
