Winnipeg Comiccon adds two legendary voice actors to its 2023 guest lineup!

Winnipeg, Manitoba, September 13, 2023 – Winnipeg Comiccon is thrilled to add celebrity voice actors Maurice LaMarche and Rob Paulsen (Pinky & The Brain, Animaniacs, Futurama, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles).
 
Maurice LaMarche is best known for his voice work as “The Brain” in Steven Spielberg Presents Pinky & The Brain and in Matt Groening’s Futurama, where he plays more than seventy regular, frequently-recurring, and one-off characters, including “Morbo The Newscaster”, “Calculon”, “The Donbot”, “Clamps”, “Hedonismbot”, and, Zapp Brannigan’s long-suffering First Officer, “Kif Kroker”.
 
Rob Paulsen is also best known for playing “Pinky” in Pinky and the Brain (WB). You can also hear Rob in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series; having voiced Raphael in the original show and he voiced Donatello in Nickelodeon’s TMNT. He has also voiced beloved characters in several iconic animated series such as Yakko Warner in Animaniacs and Carl Wheezer in Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius.
 
Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet some of their most beloved celebrities, such as: Guests of Honour MICHAEL ROOKER (Guardians of the Galaxy, The Walking Dead) & SEAN ASTIN (The Lord of the Rings); GIANCARLO ESPOSITO (The Mandalorian, Breaking Bad); and PAUL SUN-HYUNG LEE (The Mandalorian, Kim’s Convenience, Avatar: The Last Airbender).
 
Artist Alley will be buzzing with comic book creators such as: DAN PARENT (Archie Comics) for the first time at Winnipeg Comiccon; GLENN FABRY (Preacher, Vamps, Hellblazer); RAGS MORALES (Identity Crisis, Batman Confidential); SIMON BISLEY (Lobo, Heavy Metal, Doom Patrol); GMB CHOMICHUCK (Dragon Nanny, Automatic Age); HAILEY BROWN (From Ashes to Books, Turok, Watch Face); and SCOTT HENDERSON (Marvel Voices: Pride, The Reckoner Rises, A Blanket of Butterflies).

Over the course of three days, the event will be packed with hundreds of activities, including celebrity autographs, photo op sessions, and more than 50 panels and workshops ranging from 300 to 1500 attendees.
