Winnipeg, August 18, 2021 – After postponing last year due to the pandemic, Winnipeg Comiccon will finally present its first edition from October 29 to October 31, 2021 at RBC Convention Centre! The whole team is beyond excited to welcome attendees to the event this fall.
Winnipeg Comiccon brings together fans of comic books, video games, movies, TV, anime, and fantasy fiction. The organizers hope to offer a normal experience for visitors who will have access to the exhibition hall. As usual, there will be something for every collector among the vast array of booths and exhibitors from all over the province. Art aficionados can visit the artists’ lane and meet some of the most impressive comic book creators from across Canada. They can see illustrators at work, chat with them, and even buy pieces of their fabulous work. Also on the menu: a family zone, panels, workshops, special guests, and much more!
The event will also focus on families, with tons of activities for younger children with free admission for kids 12 and under! All visitors, especially the youngest ones, are invited to dress up as their favourite superhero or character, just for fun (don’t forget it’s Halloween ALL weekend!) or to participate in the famous Saturday Masquerade, featuring the best cosplays in town. You’ll also want to make sure to check out the cosplay fan groups all weekend long in the exhibition hall.
Winnipeg Comiccon will follow all government measures in the weeks to come, as the health and safety of all attendees is the highest priority. Follow Winnipeg Comiccon on Facebook, Instagram, and comicconwinnipeg.com.
